Gazing at the magnificent facade of San Michele in Orto in the center of Florence, today known as Chiesa Orsanmichele, Alessandro Manaresi decided to create a meeting place for all Florentines. On October 6, 1898, Alessandro opened one of Italy's first bars in which coffee could be enjoyed standing up! Today, Manaresi continues the same tradition, selecting the highest quality coffee beans using the same meticulous attention to detail. Beans are roasted according to the traditional method, one small batch at a time, under strict human control and experience that no machine can duplicate. Enjoy the superior quality and flavor of authentic espresso from one of Italy's oldest roasters!
