Friday | Day 1 | Benvenuto: Welcome!

Arrival in Rome after a long flight overseas, make sure to get some rest in the "Eternal City" so you can start the trip of a lifetime with plenty of energy! Stay in a luxury boutique 4-star hotel, located steps away from major sites and great dining. First night stay in Rome.
No meals included.

Saturday | Day 2 | Fountains, Piazzas, and Highlights of Rome

After breakfast, we'll take a panoramic tour of some of the stunning sites of the Roman Empire and some of its most famous landmarks with our expert Rome City Guide and private driver. See the famous Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon (with internal visit), and Piazza Navona, among many others. After a delicious lunch in a Roman trattoria, we'll make our way to the Amalfi Coast. After check-in, you'll have time to relax and unpack. Evening!

Sunday | Day 3 | Amalfi, Ravello, and the Coast of Dreams

Today we visit the awe-inspiring coastal villages along the ‘Costiera’, including Amalfi, with its spectacular byzantine-style Cathedral, lovely shops, and characteristic piazza. We continue to Ravello for a group lunch in one of the most scenic and restaurants of the area. Enjoy some free time to explore the sumptuous villas clinging to the mountainside surrounded by fragrant lemon orchards or shop for the wonderful bright hand-painted pottery items. Visit the ruins of the 11th-century Moorish Villa Rufolo or walk up to the magical gardens of Villa Cimbrone, where flowers and luscious landscaping greet you at every corner. Enjoy a delicious dinner in a family owned trattoria with traditional local dishes!

Monday | Day 4 | The Sun Always Shines on Positano

Enjoy half a day to relax and explore ~ it’s a vacation after all! ~ In the early afternoon we will leave for the bustling town of Sorrento, where you will be able to enjoy some free time to explore Sorrento’s lovely shops, boutiques, and explore the local artisans, especially known for hand-engraved wooden boxes. We then meet again at mid-afternoon and we’ll head up to the mountains to a family farm where you’ll learn to cook some regional specialties, taste some home-made limoncello, and of course enjoy them for dinner!! A truly enchanting place.

Tuesday | Day 5 | Luxurious Capri by Private Boat

Today we're off to one of the pearls of the Mediterranean: the Island of Capri. At your leisure, take a picturesque walk to the top of the island visiting the ancient remains of Roman Emperor Tiberius's Villa Jovis, passing by fragrant groves of chestnut, pine, lemon, and olive trees, and rose gardens spilling over elegant villa walls. Or, take a quick ride up to the old town of Anacapri, a less-touristy part of the island. The group gathers at the dock to continue a memorable boat tour around the island, during which you’ll have the chance to go into the Blue Grotto (extra charges apply – to be paid directly on site, and subject to weather conditions). We will also be able to take a swim in a quiet bay, away from crowds, with a refreshing glass of Prosecco. Group dinner on your way back to Positano.

Wednesday | Day 6 | Mozzarella & the Greek Temples of Paestum

Today we’re off to the surroundings of the town of Battipaglia, south of the Amalfi Coast, known for the production of the world's best gourmet Mozzarella di Bufala (made from water buffalo milk). We'll visit a local organic farm where you can see how this tasty cheese is made and enjoy a delicious lunch with the farm's specialties. We will then take a trip back in time, visiting the Greek temples of Paestum. These amazing structures are the standing remains of three major temples in Doric style, dating from the first half of the 6th century BC, a huge testimony of the Greek colonies in this area. These were dedicated to Hera, Apollo, and Athena. On our way back we’ll stop for a group dinner in a Pizzeria serving the region’s best piping-hot classic Neapolitan pizza.

Thursday | Day 7 | The Mediterranean-Chic Lifestyle

Free day to relax by the beach, explore the gorgeous boutiques and jewelry stores, shop for the brightly hand-painted vases and table tops, go for a hike up in the mountains on the various trails, or get a spa treatment. Then, float back down to earth and meet up for another scrumptious dinner with the group!

Friday | Day 8 | Volcanic Wines and Views over Pompeii

Today we're heading towards the infamous volcano whose eruption buried almost 2,000 people: Mt Vesuvius. Its unforgiving explosion, however, left behind a rich soil full of minerals where tenacious vines produce a light and floral wine. We’ll learn more about it during a private visit to a local family owned winery, where the friendly owners will tell us about the wine production and walk us through the vineyards. Group lunch and wine tasting featuring homemade local specialties. We continue our journey to the nearby town of Pompeii. Our expert local City Guide will walk us through the amazing ruins, telling us about what Roman lifestyle was about, visiting villas with wonderful frescoes, mosaics, and gardens, before the tremendous eruption of 79 A.D. Dinner on your own.

Saturday | Day 9 | The Essence of the Mediterranean

Aaaah.... take it easy today with an incredibly scenic and soothing boat ride along the coast, visiting hidden alcoves with deep blue waters. De-stress with a refreshing swim near a quiet bay. Group lunch along the way in a hidden restaurant that can only be reached by sea. We’ll pass the coastal towns of Praiano, the fiord of Furore, Sofia Loren’s villa at Conca dei Marini, Atrani, and Amalfi. Towels, refreshments, and water provided. Dinner on your own.

Sunday | Day 10 | Return to Rome

After check-out, we’ll begin our drive back towards Rome. Group lunch along the way in a local family-owned trattoria. Check-in Rome hotel for final night stay. Enjoy your final day at your leisure in this spectacular city, where discovery never ends.

Monday | Day 11 | Arrivederci! Until we meet and eat again!

Check-out from the hotel and ... Arrivederci! As hard as it may be to leave these beautiful sites, we hope to see you again very soon in incredible Italy!

What's Not Included in Tour Package


Trip price does not include airfare and anything that is not specified to be included. Price does not include any personal related expenses or travel-related expenses outside of the scheduled itineraries. The food & wine that is included is what is presented during meals.



Before you sign up, please note the following:


>     The first day of this tour is Friday (you will need to book your flight from the USA on Thursday to get to Rome on Friday). The last day of this tour is Monday (arrival in the U.S. is the same day of departure on your way back). Some tours start and end in different cities, make sure to book your flights accordingly.

>     Airfare is not included. Nada's Italy can assist with Business and First Class airfare. Please let us know if you need information about arrival and departure airport for this tour.

>     Reminders, hotel information, and arrival instructions will be sent only by email, please make sure we have your current email address.

>     Transfers to and from the airport are not included in the tour rate. Please contact us if you'd like to add transfers to your tour package.

>     You must be in good physical condition to sign-up for this trip. This is not a physically challenging trip, nonetheless, there will be a lot of walking uphill, downhill, walking over uneven pavement, and standing for extended periods of time.

>     Even though tips to staff and restaurants are included, it is suggested that you put aside approximately $100 (US) in combined gratuities for your driver & Tour Director for your trip (and any voluntary additional restaurant gratuities are at your discretion).

>     Nada's Italy strongly recommends that you purchase Travel Insurance for your trip. For suggestions on policies and a quote, please contact us.

>     You should know that air conditioning in Italy, as well as WIFI connection, are not always as reliable as they are in the United States.

>     The hotel staff assigns rooms to guests, some rooms may include stairs. A view is not guaranteed. As Nada's Italy works mainly with luxury historic inns and small upscale boutique hotels, rooms differ in size and layout. In general, Italian bedrooms and bathrooms are smaller compared to US standards. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom with shower and/or tub, hair-dryer, and basic toiletry set. Please contact us if you have specific requests/needs.

>     It is your responsibility to obtain the required documents to travel to Italy, please verify with your own country's travel laws and government agencies. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

>     In the unlikely event your tour does not reach the minimum participation requirement of 6 travelers, we will work with you to choose another available tour or tour date. We will do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible.
