Charlotte-based Tour Company Celebrates 15 Years of Bringing the Italian Dream to Residents of the Queen City.
The Experts on Italy Hosted a Sunday Afternoon Filled with Music and Food at an NC Family Farm to Celebrate their Loyal Charlotte Clientele.

The award-winning luxury small group travel specialist, Nada's Italy celebrated its 15th Anniversary at Proffitt Family Farms in the heart of North Carolina. The Italy Experts hired renown power couple Heidi and Tom Billotto, formed by a local musician and top gastronomic celebrity, to provide delicious organic food and entertainment. The exclusive celebration was centered on honoring the 1600+ North & South Carolina returning customers.
Nada’s Italy was founded by the extravagant Florence native, Nada Vergili, in 2004, an expat with a strong desire for sharing her knowledge and passion for her country and culture since relocating to the USA in 2001. Nada’s dedication to her Charlotte clients is the foundation to her company’s continued success for the past 15 years. Nada’s early beginnings had her teaching “Survival Italian” classes throughout the Queen City – from coffee shops to book stores, lead her to an unexpected mission of making people’s dreams come true. When a handful of students asked her to create a trip for them that would show them the “real Italy”, away from tourist crowds, where they could experience the authentic local culture, she knew exactly where to take them. She rented a Tuscany countryside villa just thirty minutes away from her grandmother’s house in Florence, hired her mother to make home-cooked meals, and a good friend to drive the group around Tuscany’s hilltop villages and family-owned farms and wineries. “Just seeing the expression on people’s faces when they would get to know local families and the smiles I’d see when they’d sit down for my mom’s dinners would make my heart beat faster. I knew this was why I was brought to the USA, I knew what I could do to contribute to people’s lives.” – explains Nada.
Much has changed since that first trip in September of ‘04, but Nada’s passion remains on making sure each traveler is treated like a king and that they feel like a local, not a tourist. Nada’s Italy is now an internationally-known tour company with a 5-star rating and hundreds of returning clients. To strengthen the company’s stance to focus on Italy, Nada built a team of multiple Italian expats with decades of experience in the travel industry. The company currently employees 15 professionals in two locations (Charlotte, NC and Delray Beach, FL) and 20 Italy-based tour directors.
