:: ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS & TRAVELERS – Begins October 28 - Register now
Italian for Beginners & Travelers is a fun course that includes basic grammar, useful questions and everyday expressions. Conversation and group practice, with focus on sentence structure and pronunciation, rather than relying on memorization. Learn interesting facts about the culture, travel tips, and have fun with hand gestures! Course material is supplied by instructor. Purchase of an Italian-English dictionary will be recommended in class.

6 WEEKS/ 12 CLASSES OF 90 MINUTES EACH.

When:
Meets twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday) from October 28 to December 11 (no classes the week of Thanksgiving).

:: ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS LEVEL II – Begins October 27 - Register now
This is the continuation of the “Italian for Beginners and Travelers” course. Finally, now everything starts to make sense and come together! You’ll be surprised when you witness yourself creating sentences and conversing without memorizing! Now’s the time to get more creative with your language skills! Materials are provided by the instructor, just like the previous course, but this time we’ll do more conversazione! We begin where we left off, including a comprehensive review, creating stories and working in groups.

6 WEEKS/ 6 CLASSES OF 120 MINUTES EACH.

Meets once a week (Monday) from October 27 to December 8.

:: CONVERSAZIONE IN ITALIANO - Free Italian Conversation, First Saturday of each month.
If you don’t use it, you lose it! So come practice ITALIANO with speakers of all levels! A fun conversation hour with other Italian-language-lovers, just to practice by speaking or listening only. Join in and make new Italian-speaking friends! No books, no board, no pens: solamente conversazione! Food, Vino, and Coffee drinks available for purchase as you chat away!

  • 3/3: Getting there, Going on a tour Vs. going on your own, Italy on a budget, Finding the best tour, Booking a flight. Basic expressions.
  • 3/10: Types of accommodations, Renting the perfect Villa, Finding the right Hotel, Types of rooms, Booking a room, What to expect. Useful expressions.
  • 3/17: Getting around Italy, Using public transportation, the Train system, Renting a car, Private drivers. Useful expressions.
  • 3/24: Eating in Italy, Types of restaurants, cafe’s, and eateries, Meals & Menus, Special diets and allergies, Tipping. Useful expressions.
  • 3/31: Get the most ‘bang’ out of your Euro, Currency & Exchanging money, Credit cards vs. cash, Bargaining, VAT tax refund, Shipping items to the USA. Useful expressions.
  • 4/7: Safety & Security, Unexpected events, How to protect yourself, Italy for single women, Staying in touch with your loved ones by phone and internet. Useful expressions.
