Since I relocated to the US from Florence, Italy, I have been striving to expand the Italian cultural awareness in Charlotte, North Carolina, by creating fun events where everybody feels welcome, as they would feel welcomed in the home of an Italian "famiglia"! Anybody who loves Italy, Italian food & wine, history and art, the language, any person of Italian origin who wishes to know more about their background, or simply someone who is getting ready to go on a trip wants to find out more about Italy is always benvenuto (welcome) to my events!
I was born in Florence Italy, but my family lived for a few years in Florida, where I learned English in elementary school. I was in Italy for most of my life, until 2001, the year I moved back to the US.
Given the fact that an Italian can't be separated from two essential factors (wine and food), I decided to teach my Italian language courses in locations where food, wine, as well as coffee drinks are available to make it a more pleasant learning experience and a more social atmosphere for my students.
